Lawrence Weiner’s new work related items are available at the shrine museum.

New York based artist, Lawrence Weiner (1942-2021), who had been active on the front lines of the art scene since the 1960s as a standard-bearer of conceptual art, created a new work for Dazaifu Tenmangu, “THE CENTER OF A CENTER”.

In relation to this work, Dazaifu Tenmangu created items such as stickers, decorative adhesive-backed washi tapes, plastic folders. Also T-shirts and two types of bags, in collaboration with the fashion brand Factelier, which places great importance on the “Made in Japan” are made available at the shrine museum gift shop.
