Woodcraft + Leather + Can Manufacturing + Kyokanaami + Hasami Ware + Brightorb
An arm is realized by merging the wooden cask craftsmanship of Nakagawa Mokkougei with the airtight technology of Kaikado’s tea containers. This is complemented by a glove, tailored from horse and deer leather using the traditional sewing techniques and unique skills of Kentaro Kozuki, and adorned with brass protection crafted by Kanaamitsuji. The rugged texture of the wood serves as an armor, keeping the spacesuit wearer from external pressure during their voyages through time and space.

Sound Quadrant
Woodcraft + Can Manufacturing + Rhizomatiks + NF
A device that emits complex acoustical effects when standing in the center of the space is created by positioning a special sound-emitting film at four locations. Themed around the geocentric theory believed until the 15th century, with the Earth at the center, it generates sounds sampled from actual sound sources emitted from celestial bodies (Moon, Venus, Mercury, Sun). The sound perception varies as the film expands and contracts irregularly, making it an enjoyable experience as you move around.

宙舟
Sorafune
Can Manufacturing + Woodcraft
This is a model of a vessel capable of traversing time and space, crafted using the sacred ancient zelkova wood of Nakagawa Mokkougei and incorporating airtight can manufacturing techniques of Kaikado.

狼像
Wolf Statue
Kutani Ware
Thunder is something that arrives from the heavens (the divine) to the earth (receiving), while the wolf is portrayed as a being that howls towards the sky (transmitting). Thunder is depicted as organisms with eyes or cores similar to juvenile fish or magatama beads, while the wolf is represented in a way akin to ancient haniwa. Two types of the forms have been meticulously crafted: those resulted from an elaboration and abstraction of this conceptual framework, culminating in designs reminiscent of sacred Shinto artifacts.

埴輪(honey world)ぐるぐる廻る
honey world goes round and round
Asahi Ware + Can Manufacturing + Leather
The helmet, reminiscent of Earth with its vivid aqua color from moon-white glaze, earth, and gold. Is the outside of it the universe, or is it the inside that’s the universe? It was created using a forming method called the wheel (roku-ro). The wheel extends the clay by rotating it. This spiral rotation gives a sense of time, even a sense of extending and transcending it. The piece was created envisioning a helmet that symbolizes spacetime transcendence.

White Porcelain Carved Dragon Motif “Space Bureau” Model
Hasami Ware + Brightorb + Kutani Ware
Based on a plaster mold for a sake bottle once used at the Kutaniyaki kiln, Kamide Chōemon-gama, Maruhiro of Hasami Ware created 3D data. AGC Ceramics then printed a new Brightorb material body, which is fired by Kamide Chōemon-gama kiln. During this time, a pattern imitating the carved dragon motif of Dingyao, representing the Song Dynasty (960-1279), was carved into the inside of the mold with an electric router.

space honey
Hasami Ware + Brightorb
This must have been what potters dreamed of – Brightorb (made by AGC Ceramics), a new material that offers some resolution to the unique dilemma of ceramics: the wish for them not to shrink or warp. space honey has journeyed through the cosmic fires of the kiln many times, transcending time and space. It may have expanded the possibilities of ceramics, even if just a little.

Edo-Kiriko
An eye shield crafted using the traditional technique of Edo-Kiriko, held by Horiguchi Kiriko. There are two types: the regular type using a Nanako pattern, and the time-space travel type using a Kikko pattern. It is expected to be attached to the helmet of the spacesuit in the future.

渦紋
Spiral
Woodcraft + Kyokanaami + Can Manufacturing + Leather
A spiral is a helical structure seen in tornadoes, whirlpools, hurricanes, and galaxies. It appears when force converges on a single point. The wearer of this mask is enabled to concentrate their consciousness and communicate with other dimensions.
