Ryudai Takano

Born in 1963 in Fukui, Japan. Graduated from the Politics and Economics Department of Waseda University. He won the 31st Kimura Ihei Commemorative Photography Award for his publication, “In My Room” (Sokyu-sha, 2005). He held numerous solo and group exhibitions, including ‘Les métamorphose du quotidien’, Museum of Modern Art, Gunma, in 2004; ‘Open Studio 46th -Document, Memory, and Something’, Fuchu Art Museum, Tokyo, in 2009;. Takano is, first of all, an expert at conjuring intensely sexual bodies of the same sex (How to contact a man, 2009). He is also a flaneur who continues to document ordinary scenes in abandoned street corners in Tokyo (Kasubaba, 2011)
