This year’s NEW NEW DAY (16 March, 2026)

March 16 is “NEW NEW DAY”, a commemorative day established at Dazaifu Tenmangu at the initiative of artist Ryan Gander.
Since the year following its inception in 2011, the artist and the shrine has celebrated “NEW NEW DAY” each year by sending cards to those who support us.
For the 16th year of the project, following a proposal by Gander, we created shoelaces printed in black text on a white background reading “Walk without purpose • Happy New New Day,” together with a card featuring ARATA-chan lacing the shoes.
